No. Make sure the piano mover you hire is licensed, bonded and insured. Not all piano movers are. The piano mover should be registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation. West Coast Piano is licensed, bonded and insured as well as being registered with USDOT

How will you move my piano?

Knowledge and the proper equipment, dollies, skids, ramps, moving pads, and the tools required for the specific piano they are moving. It usually only takes 2 people to move a piano with the proper equipment. In some cases it will require 3 or 4 people. At West Coast Piano Moving & Storage, we use only modern equipment and upgrade regularly.

How big is the delivery truck that will be coming to my home?

Our trucks have an overall length of 27 feet. We are able to navigate through most areas without a problem.

Will my piano need to be tuned after being moved?

Moving your piano doesn’t affect the tuning of your piano. However, temperature, humidity, and room size can affect the sound.  We suggest that you have your piano tuned once it has been in its new location for 3 to 4 weeks.

Can you store my piano, and how much does it cost?

We have a secure climate controlled storage facility. We store pianos for short periods and long term. If you are having some work done on your home, and need your piano stored in a secure environment for a short period while your work is being completed, or you need it in storage for an extended period of time, we will take care of it. Our storage rate is $40.00 per month for an upright, and $50.00 per month for a grand., prorated on a monthly basis.
